Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano is an active andesitic stratovolcano in north-western Costa Rica. The Arenal volcano measures at least 1,633 metres (5,358 ft) high. It is conically shaped with a crater 140 metres (460 ft) in diameter. Geologically, Arenal is considered a young volcano and it is estimated to be less than 7,500 years old. Arenal, a major tourist attraction in Costa Rica, is one of the most active volcanoes of Central America.

Bahia Drake

Bahía Drake (Drake Bay) is a small bay on the north side of the Osa Peninsula on the coast of southwestern Costa Rica. The main town of Bahía Drake is Agujitas. The main feature of Bahia Drake is Corcovado National Park hiking and Caño Island snorkeling/diving. This bay is believed to be a port used by Sir Francis Drake in the 16th century and the location of one of the British pirate's fabled hidden treasures. It is a perfect place for nature lovers. The best time of the year to visit it is between December and April because they are the not so rainy months.

San Jose

San José (literally meaning "Saint Joseph") is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica. San José has many beautiful theaters, many with European-inspired architecture. These buildings serve as the city's main tourist attractions, not only because of the architectural beauty, but because of the numerous cultural, musical, and artistic presentations and activities, which include traditional and modern Costa Rican and San Josefinan culture. The National Theater of Costa Rica is considered the finest historic building in the capital. The city is also host to the nation's museum of gold and museum of jade.

Gallo Pinto

Gallo pinto or gallopinto is a traditional dish of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, made with rice and red beans. The beans are quickly cooked until the juice is almost consumed.  Variations include using pigeon peas, kidney beans, or black beans along with coconut milk.

Granizado

A granizado is an icy beverage of South America. It varies regionally. It consists of crushed or shaved ice with semi-sweet milk, fruit syrup or chocolate syrup dripped on top. Granizado is also a slushee style beverage. Granizados can be ordered with or without milk, and among various real fruit flavors blackberry is a popular choice.

Rondon

Rondón is an Afro-Caribbean dish eaten in several Latin American countries. It consists of a soup made up of different types of seafood (fish, crabs, small lobsters or shellfish), with coconut milk, plantain, vegetables, peppers and spices. It is a traditional dish in Costa Rica. On the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, the ingredients include cassava, taro, yam, plantain and green bananas. The meat might be fish, lobsters or crabs and spices such as thyme, garlic, onions and yellow lantern chilli or "chile panameño", an important ingredient in Costa Rican cuisine. It can be served with flour dumplings.
