Bullet Trains, Japan

It's no secret bullet trains are incredibly badass, but did you know they go so fast they make a sound loosely similar to a sonic boom?
On April 21st,2015 Japan's new, state-of-the-art L0 Series maglev bullet train obliterated its own week-old record for world's fastest manned train, hitting a mind-blowing 375 mph.
In Japan the main Shinkansen lines with bullet trains include Tokaido, Sanyo, Tohoku, Joetsu, Nagano and Kyushu. Bullet trains are arguably the safest way to travel in the world, over 10 billion passengers have ridden on Japan’s high-speed rails alone, and none of them have ever died in a crash.
Most bullet trains today aren’t maglevs, However, Japan is preparing a huge network of bullet maglevs, this is the future of bullet trains. The 375 mph achieved by the L0 Series is the fastest speed recorded by a train. 310 mph is its routine cruising speed. Japan plans to have a full network of these bad boys up and running by 2027.
