Bern

The city of Bern is the de facto capital of Switzerland. Its most famous sight is the Zytglogge (Bernese German for "Time Bell"), an elaborate medieval clock tower with moving puppets. It also has an impressive 15th century Gothic cathedral, the Münster, and a 15th-century town hall. The Rose Garden (Rosengarten), from which a scenic panoramic view of the medieval town centre can be enjoyed, is a well-kept Rosarium on a hill, converted into a park from a former cemetery. Bern's most recent sight is the set of fountains in front of the Federal Palace.

Geneva

Geneva is the second most populous city in Switzerland. Geneva is one of the greenest cities in Europe with more than 20 parks in the city center offering countless opportunities for rest and relaxation. The Jet Deau Fountain (tallest fountain in the world) is certainly an iconic image that is conjured up in many people's minds when they think of Geneva. Geneva's world famous lakefront is the centerpiece of the city. Place du Molard is a lovely and interesting nightsky-like-pavement square next to Rue du Marche. Geneva's ancient Old Town is a maze of sloping cobblestone streets and alleyways filled with cafes, boutiques and historical landmarks at every turn. 

Lucerne

Lucerne is a city in central Switzerland. One of the city's famous landmarks is the Chapel Bridge, a wooden bridge. The twin needle towers of the Church of St. Leodegar, which was named after the city's patron saint, sit on a small hill just above the lake front. Bertel Thorvaldsen's famous carving of a dying lion (the Lion Monument, or Löwendenkmal) is found in a small park just off the Löwenplatz. The top tourist attractions also include Museum Sammlung Rosengart (Rosengart Collection),  Jesuit Church,  Museggmauer (Town Walls),  Gletschergarten (Glacier Garden),  Hofkirche.

Bern Style Lekerlis Biscuits with  Hazelnuts

The Basler Läckerli, also Leckerli or Läggerli is a traditional hard spice biscuit originating from Basel, Switzerland. It is made of honey, hazelnuts, almonds, candied peel, and Kirsch. The flat baked dough is, when still hot, cut into rectangular pieces. It is then topped with a sugar glaze. 

Rosti

Rösti or röschti is a Swiss dish consisting mainly of potatoes, in the style of a  Rösti are most often pan-fried and shaped in the frying pan during cooking, but they can also be baked in the oven. Although basic rösti consists of nothing but potato, a number of additional ingredients are sometimes added, such as bacon, onion, cheese, apple or fresh herbs. 

Tartiflette

Tartiflette is a staple dish at most ski resorts, particularly those in Swiss-Romande. This rustic plate is a starchy combination of thinly sliced potatoes, smoky bits of bacon, carmelised onions and oozy, nutty, creamy Reblocohon cheese (of course).
